Differentiated Groups Model

Time on technology: ~90 minutes

Using existing student assessment data, teachers can level students into appropriate reading groups and use ThinkCERCA twice per month for three days per week, integrating ThinkCERCA lessons by topic into existing curriculum. ELA teachers can use this model to incorporate ThinkCERCA with novel units.

Central to this model is grouping students (homogeneously by reading level) to encourage collaborative group work, providing the teacher with the time and space to rotate between groups and facilitate learning.
