Time on technology: ~60 minutes

Use ThinkCERCA as part of a Response to Intervention program with a small group of students. Student data should inform the schedule plan and content that best meets your students' needs. Along with your screener’s data, ThinkCERCA’s baseline writing and reading leveling assessment can provide additional data points for progress monitoring.

Classrooms should be arranged so that students get 1:1 access to technology, and no more than five students are with a single teacher at any time. As a best practice, the teacher should scaffold based on student needs and provide opportunities for students to collaborate along the way.

About this Schedule

  • Assumes that students are working in small groups with devices on leveled lessons.
  • Unlike other implementation models, we suggest students do an Additional Reading Practice lesson before the Applied Reading and Writing lesson to build background knowledge.
